Assign a quiz to your classes
Click the "Assign to Classes" link in the Quizzes Tests & Practice tab to access this mode. Click the check box in the Assign column to assign the quiz to one or more classes so students can take the quiz online. To assign other quizzes to a class, use the Quiz drop-down menu at the top of the page.

The First Date Available and Last Date Available fields allow you to control the dates that students have access to the quiz. If the Last Date Available field is left blank, the quiz will remain available to students as long as the class is active. If you enter a date in the Last Date Available field, the quiz assignment will appear on the Student and Parent home page on that date. If the First Date Available is left blank, your quiz will become available to students immediately and will appear on the Student and Parent Current Quizzes page.

Linking a quiz to a grade book assignment
Click the "Assign to Classes" link in the Quizzes tab to access this mode. You can optionally link the quiz to a grade book assignment in each class. Linking a quiz to a grade book assignment saves you the trouble of manually entering the scores yourself via the Import Quiz Scores screen or one of the other MyGradeBook scoring screens. When you link a quiz to a grade book assignment, scores are automatically recorded in the grade book assignment in real time as students complete the quiz.

Below each class title, you will see a information about the grade book assignment that is linked to the quiz in class. If the quiz is not linked to an assignment in the class, you will see a link that pops up a window that lets you assign the quiz to an assignment. The pop up window also lets you create a grade book assignment for the quiz. If the quiz is linked to a grade book assignment, you will see information about the assignment and you will see input fields that let you unlink the quiz from the grade book assignment or change from highest score to latest or vice versa. Unlinking a quiz from an assignment does not affect any scores that have already been recorded.
